Importantant Updates

Okay, this might be more important to me than it is to you, but I am super excited right now.  I stepped on the scales this morning and weighed 153.  I think I was in my late 30s the last time I weighed this little (relatively speaking).  One more pound and I will have lost 20 pounds since my birthday in late July.

I posted this picture to Facebook yesterday:

At the beginning of December, this handknit sweater was snug on me.  Now it fits very nicely with positive ease.  And the best thing is that I have figured out an eating plan where I am not hungry.  I have three meals and two snacks and it is working!

The next update, though, is the most important one of all.  If you have seen my podcast or follow me on Ravelry, then you have seen this:

Well, let me show you who it was made for!

Everyone is healthy and happy and everything.

This is my brother (my little brother, mind you) holding his first grandchild.  Doesn’t the look on his face say it all?  Kim said there were many tears of joy shed over this wee girly.

And my dad holding his first great-grandchild.  Oh, I do wish Mom and Lori were here for this day even more than for the weddings of my two oldest nieces.  Mom would be going nuts over this baby.  And Lori becoming a grandmother would be so much fun.

Sara Kaye looks like both my brother and my mom around the eyes.  Maybe, just maybe, a little bit of Mom is there after all.
