I’ve been looking through some of my knitting yarns and trying to decide what to work on once I get my Lupin socks done. (Yes, I know, Cindy – I should finish my indigo vest.)
So many of the yarns call to me and I could easily become one of those poeple who start all sorts of projects that I never finish (hmmm… that indigo vest again), but I rather like having only one (or two) projects going at one time. I like actually finishing something (except, it seems that indigo vest) and wearing it and showing it off (that indigo vest would be pretty to wear to the SWIFT annual meeting in March).
Tax season, of course is not helping with late nights and fried brain cells, but knitting helps relax me, even if the only time I get to do it is at lunch.
And, I am promising myself to warp up my Harrisville this weekend for the beginning of my color theory samples and towels. In fact, if I get nothing done (except washing part of a fleece) on Sunday, I will end the day with a warped loom. And I am thinking of starting with a color that we could use more of this time of year – sunny yellow!!
This gives me a good incentive to get the February SWIFT newsletter all ready for the printer by the end of the day on Saturday. I can do it!! I want to weave.
But that doesn’t fix my knitting dilemna – (I can hear that vest calling me from the studio downstairs). Rats!! I guess I’ll never get any rest until it is done. Don’t you just hate it when your mostly completed projects dump lots of guilt on you?

Hey, don’t you know it’s required to have projects in waiting!

I love to start projects!! I’m hoping to get to my knitting group today – without them I don’t think I’d ever finish anything knitted!!
Good luck with your decision!

I bet you would be amazed at how close to done you would be in just a few more hours……I know your angst when the first excitement wears off a knit project! I have a lace shawl lanquishing in the bucket; I am going to rip it out and weave a shawl with the yarn!

I have different unfinished projects in different crafts and with half a shawl (knitted) half a shawl(crochetted) half a child’s quilt (sewn) I find myself drawn to doing some hardanger embroidery. Oh yes, and then there’s all that roving waiting to be spun . . .

I had to rip out a sweater last night that I kept just working on, ignoring that the needle size was too small. It didn’t get bigger the more I knitted. I must knit at night to relax, so out it came and onward I go. Sigh.
