Remember when I told you Dyed in the Wool was going to have a tiny booth at Michigan Fiber Festival?

But, goodness, we sold a lot of wool.

This was taken at the beginning of Saturday.  There are at least 12 SOLD OUTs on it now – maybe more.  I lost count after 12.  Okay, I was a little tired by the end of Sunday.

Also, remember the sales record we broke at Kentucky Sheep & Fiber Festival for Saturdays?  Well, we broke it again.  Yay!!!!

I’ll have more on the next podcast, plus a walk-about video I took of the entire festival.  I can’t wait to do it again!!

The store’s inventory will be updated tonight and will be back on-line as soon as I get that done.  New stock will be uploaded this weekend and there will be a shop update Saturday night.

Sandy and I are leaving today for Allegan, Michigan, and not just to shop, either.  We are going to be vending at the Michigan Fiber Festival with Dyed in the Wool for the first time ever!!  Now, I will warn everyone that this will be different for us.  Because of the limitations of available space (and waiting on a list for that space to become available) Sandy and I took what they had to give us, space-wise.  And what they could give us this year was a 10 X 10 space.  Okay, just to give you some reminders, in Kentucky, we had a 10 X 30 space.

And at Hoosier Hills,we had a 10 X 20 space.

And at the Fiber Expo in Ann Arbor, we had a 15 X 20 space.

So squeezing all 60! of our fibers into a 10 X 10 space is daunting to say the least, but we are going to do it.  This being said, the “general store” approach to making sure you get the fiber you need is going to be our best bet.  You place your order from the menu board…

…(don’t worry, we have a new one) and we will fill your order and bring it to you for you to buy.  If you want to see a larger sample of a fiber, we will bring the bag to you and let you see it in all its glory.  Basically, we will be at your beck and call the entire time the festival is open and want to make the best experience for you considering our limited booth space.

And wait until you see the new and improved menu board!!!  Not only do we have spun samples of every thing available, but we have knitted and felted swatches for most (and are doing more as we can) so you can see what the finished yarn looks like in an actual project.

We are beyond excited about this weekend!  See you there!!!

FYI everyone!!!  Due to Sandy and I going to vend at Michigan Fiber Festival this weekend, the Dyed in the Wool Biz shop ( is going to be offline beginning August 13th until August 18th.  It is my intention to have the shop inventory updated by then and the online part of the business back up and running.  So, if you want anything from Dyed in the Wool before we go to Michigan, you need to order it today.
