Aug 2

I think the moving into my new studio and the organization going on in there has started a ball rolling.  I woke up at 4:30 this morning and had the itch to start cleaning my bedroom – bookcases, fiber, clothes, fabric, etc., all got dug into and the sorting process has began.  I have a pile for Goodwill and a pile for Half-Price Books.  I have another pile of books and magazines I want to go through to decide which I want to keep and which need to find new homes.  After an hour and a half, I was feeling better about it, but I know it has just began.  Too bad I had to go to work, because I would have loved to have finished this job.

I am almost finished with the second and largest step of my felted bag.  I lack two rows of being done and ready for the third step.  Here is what is looks like, now.

step2

It’s pretty big.  I’ll try to finish it in time to put it in the washer on Sunday when Sandy comes over to do some dyeing.  All I lack are the last 2 rows of the bag proper, the two rows for the button holes for the straps, and inch after that and the I-cord bind-off.  Then two 60″ I-cords for the straps.  Also, I still want to knit up four pockets – two for the outside and two for the inside.  Considering what else I have planned for tonight through Sunday, I may or may not make my goal.

Leslie got moved to the rehab hospital and it going to be there for about a month.  It’s not going to be a fun month for her, so keep her in your prayers.
