Lots of things have been happening lately in and around Story Studios, LLC, the company that Scott and I own.

For starters, our own, 132-page, full color, graphic novel (or trade paperback) called Johnny Saturn: Synns of the Father, comes out in mid-to-late June and can be ordered and sold through normal booksellers such as, Barnes & Noble and Borders. We have ordered copies for ourselves to sell at Wizard World Chicago and to the local comic book stores. Needless to say, Scott and I are VERY excited about this. The cost for the graphic novel is $19.95. If you prefer, you can order this book directly from us.

Also, Johnny Saturn issue 6 is out and available for purchase. We will have it at Chicago as well, but feel free to email us to purchase it if you aren’t going to be attending the comic convention. The cost for the single issue is $3.50 plus shipping and handling.

Next on the Johnny Saturn front is a companion book to the comic series. This is a prose book with several illustrations by Scott and it contains stories that take place before the first issue, during the series as fillers to the story line and there is even a story that takes place after the series is done – far into the future. Both Scott and I have been writing these short stories, and, I believe, fans will find it interesting reading as well as getting to see the differences in our writing styles. It should be available sometime this fall for purchase. Price is yet to be determined, but please let us know if you’d like to preorder a copy and we will make sure you are notified as soon as it is available.

A couple of new items will be available beginning at the Chicago convention about which I am excited. Two calendars! One is a Johnny Saturn: Synns of the Father 16-month calendar (September 2008 – December 2009) and the other is a Fantasy Art 16-month calendar with lots of dragons, magic users, people in armor, fantasy landscapes, fairies and all that jazz. As much as I love Johnny Saturn, I REALLY love the fantasy art that Scott does. Again, if you aren’t going to be at Chicago next month, you can order these directly from us. Just email us at Each, full color calendar is $10 plus shipping and handling.

Thanks, and I hope to see you in Chicago at Wizard World!
